Just Plain Foolish

Just a chance for an old-fashioned, simple storyteller to say what needs to be said.

On the shore...

Ocean's cold embrace,
Sensuous like a lover.
Carry me to shore.

Sitting on the rocks.
Salt fish tang on the cool wind
Blowing white waves in.

Seagulls call shrilly.
Dropped ice cream and sand
Are kissed by the waves.

Night comes so gently.
Lavender skies touch the sea.
I linger to watch.

wow, lovely. This evokes bright scenes in my mind and calm memories.

I swear, I didn't know you had written a poem today. I'm just catching up with you; ha, you'll laugh when you visit QP.
