A gift

Snow between the trees,
a veil of ice cascades
over limestone cliffs.
Still I journey forward
carrying the gift within.

Thank you. I wasn't sure I was going to be entirely happy about travelling on Christmas itself, but it felt as though the landscape itself became a gift to unwrap.
