Winter silence
I long for winter silence
the soundless hush
of snow covered evergreens
and wordless amazement
at star-bright midnight.
I want to hold your hand
through woolen mittens
and point to Cassiopea,
lounging in the heavens,
while Orion faces the Bull.
I want to share hot cocoa
straight from the thermos,
the kind with cinnamon,
as we head home, arm in arm,
and the heavens wheel above.

*sigh* Just lovely.
You'd love the weather we've been having for almost a month now. It's definitely mittens and hot cocoa.
