Childhood stories
Two sisters sit
Underneath shared quilts
Telling stories
Outside, the winds howl and moan
Blowing high drifted snow.

Delicious! Thanks so much for evoking wonderful childhood memories. I can recall building a "cowboy fort" with a blanket and an overturned rocking chair with my younger brother, while it stormed heavily on our roof.
Oh, yes, weren't those the days! I shared a fort with my younger brother! Brings back some great memories...
I love that image! I cna see the girl fomenting sweet mischief and sharing secrets in their private world.
To be under those blankets. This is wonderful.
your words make me long for the sisters i did not know as a child (i was raised as an only child & my sisters were found in adulthood)...such a warmth to your offering
